This study aims to know the effect of parent's self-efficacy to the preference's suitability of students' study program faculty of teacher training and education sriwijaya university. It used ex-post facto method the population of this study was 314 students of faculty of teacher training and education Sriwijaya University in the year of 2019 that still have parents. The technique of sample was Purposive Sampling which is 120 students where 60 students from four different study programs and 60 parents of each students. The data was collected by using quetionnaire. Simple Linear Regression Analysis was used to know the effect and T-obtained was 0,588 with significance value was 0,00
