this research title is "Implementation of the Policy Accelerating Poverty Reduction through the unfit for Housing Program in Kertapati District,Palembang City". This research motivated by the existence of several problems in the mechanism for determining the recipient of uninhabitable housing assistance that has not been implemented properly,where the problem is that there is a data mismatch,listed in the BDT with the existing conditions in the field. the next problems is the lack of formal socialization to the community regarding the improrer housing improvement program, which is marked by the community's ignorance of the application of the policy, resulting in th community's ignorance of who has the right to receive this assistance.This study aims to determine the implementation of policies fot the acceleration of poverty alleviation in Kertapati district,Palembang City. The method used in this research is a descrptive qualittive method.This study uses the implementation theory model of van Meter and Van Horn based on six indicators,namely size and policy objectives, resources, characteristics of implementing agents, implementing attitudes,relationships between organizations, and the economic, social and political environment.The result of this study indicate that the achievement of the successful implementation of policies in accelerate poverty allevation has been running quite well, but there are still several factors that influence the implementation process encountered in the field. Suggestions for this research are for the Public Housing anf residential Area Service to better coordinate with the parties involved regarding the data on aid recipients so that the data obtained is by existing conditions in the field and assistance is right on target, and conducts socizlizaton first with the community,about the housing program unfit for habitation so that the surrounding community whodid not receive assistance would know about the program and who was entitled to receive assistance. This was done so as not create jealousy between the local community and the beneficiaries. keywords: implementation, Policy, House unfit for habitation
