HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA TERHADAP PEMBERIAN MP-ASI PADA BAYI USIA 6-24 BULAN DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SIRAH PULAU PADANG
Complementary Food for Mother's Milk (MP-ASI) is a food or drink that contains nutrients, given to babies aged 6-24 months to meet nutritional needs other than breast milk. Early breastfeeding is a critical period because the baby's digestive system is not perfect. The baby's body does not yet have a complete digestive protein, if given inappropriate food can cause the food can not be digested properly and can cause digestive disorders. The high rate of giving MP-ASI early is influenced by family support. A mother really needs family support in giving her milk until the baby is 6 months old, but many families, namely parents or husband who actually provide food or drink before the baby is 6 months old. With high family support for early breastfeeding can have negative effects on the health of infants. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of family support to the provision of MP-ASI. This study uses a cross sectional design. The sample in this study were mothers who have babies aged 6-24 months, amounting to 61 respondents with sampling techniques using simple random sampling.
