PERAN WORLD WIDE FUND FOR NATURE DALAM MENANGANI ISU PERDAGANGAN ILEGAL HARIMAU SUMATERA PADA TAHUN 2015-2019
This research aims to describe The Role of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in efforts to tackle down Sumatran Tigers illegal trade in 2015-2019. A very significant decline in Sumatran Tigers populations has made WWF taking its role as International Non Governmental Organizations to participate in this Indonesian endemic animals conservations. This research is supported by using using the concept the Role of INGO (International Non-Governmental Organizations) of David Lewis and Nazeen Kanji. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, this methods aims to describe related facts linked to the research problems in words. The research data is collected from literature review, online data search, and documentations. The final results of this paper will try to show that WWF has been succeeded to take its role as an International Non Governmental Organization engaged to flora and fauna conservation in dealing with Sumatran tigers illegal trade issues. This is marked by the decline of Sumatran tiger illegal trade cases in 2018-2019 compared to previous years and also the rise of Sumatran Tigers population in 2018-2019. Thus, the role of WWF is quite significant in dealing with Sumatran tigers illegal trade issues in 2015-2019.
