This study aims at analyzing the typology of poverty in Indralaya district, Ogan Ilir Regency using the CIBEST Model. This model measures the level of poverty using not only material standards but also spiritual standards. The respondents in this study were 100 people taken from the population off all people in the district using accidental sampling. The data were collected using questionaires, interviews, and documentation, and were quantitatively. (1) material poverty (41 percent), (2) spiritual poverty (10 percent), (3) absolute poverty (22 percent), and (4) prosperous (27 percent). The results also show that there were 68 percent of the people who were already in the spiritual rich quadrant (SR Rill) and 63 percent were still in the material poor quadrant (MP Rill). The causes of the poverty were low levels of education, limited employment opportunities and limited resources (capital and natural resources as well as productive assets) which resulted in low economic capacity (livelihoods) tringgering low houshold productivity and low-income generation. This was indicated from the average income of each family of IDR 1,755,00 per month with average members of 3 people. This means that one-member income was IDR 585,000 per month.
