ANALISIS KARAKTERISTIK SERVANT LEADER DI BADAN PENDAPATAN DAERAH PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Leaders are one of the determining factors in the direction of the course of an organization and institution. A good leader is a leader who is able to bring the organization or institution he leads to the maximum and serve the community and the people he leads better. This study tries to see or analyze how the application of the characteristics of Servant Leader in public institutions, namely the Head of Agency in the Regional Revenue Agency of South Sumatra Province. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted by going directly to the research object with analytical tools in the form of observations, interviews with respondents, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data condensation, data display, and conclusions/verifying. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the six characteristics of servant leader presented by Jim Laub (1999) namely, respecting others, developing others, building communities, showing authenticity, providing leadership, and sharing leadership, already exist and are applied in the leadership of the Head of Agency in the Regional Revenue Agency of South Sumatra Province. This can be seen from the implementation and implementation of indicators that become the benchmark dimensions that become characteristic of the Servant Leader. although in its implementation there are still some indicators that have not been carried out to the maximum, caused by certain factors.
