This thesis is titled “Life Of Ederly Women In The Rural Areas ( Study Of Tanjung Tiga Village Belida Darat District Muara Enim Regency). The purpose of this study was to find out how the life of elderly women in rural areas, especially how the condition of elderly women and how the interaction of elderly women in the village of Tanjung Tiga, Belida Darat District, Muara Enim Regency. This study is qualitative in nature with a case study research strategy and data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Determination of informants numbered 14 (fourteen) people, including 11 (eleven) main informants and 3 (three) supporting informants, namely elderly women and residents of Tanjung Tiga village. This researc uses the theory of Etnometedology fron Garfinkel. The results of this study indicate that the elderly women in Tanjung Tiga Village still have good physical and psychological health even though among them have different disease histories they still often work and move because their disease does not prevent them from continuing to actively carry out various good activities outside and inside the house, Elderly women also often take care of their health by maintaining their diet and regard daily activities as sports for them. In terms of interaction the elderly women still have good interactions. both with community members and with elderly family members. If in the community the elderly women still participate in various activities such as recitation, almsgiving, elderly gymnastics, and elderly posyandu. When with family members usually older children visit the elderly and also the elderly who visit their children's homes Keywords. Elderly woman. Health. Interaction.
