This study entitled "Analysis of the Reporting Framing on Cases of Racism Against Papuan Students in Surabaya on Online Media Detik.com" by Haryanto Dendi. This study aims to determine how the framing of events conducted by Detik.com in reporting cases of racism against Papuan students in Surabaya. The Framing theory used is the theory of analysis by Robert N Entman. This model explains how to Define the Problem, Diagnose Causes (estimate the causes of the problem), Make Moral Judgment (make moral decisions or moral values), and Treatment Recommendation (emphasize resolution). The method applied is a qualitative method using data collection methods. Data collection was carried out through observation of news published on the Detik.com page regarding reports of cases of racism against Papuan students in Surabaya on August 19-21. From the results of data analysis in this study, 27 news items were obtained which were then limited to the 5 news that researchers analyzed. In the approach to the problem, Detik.com defines the case as alleged racism. Meanwhile, the source of the problem in this case, Detik.com, defines that there were provocateurs who committed acts of racism against Papuan students. In making moral decisions, Detik.com explains that this case will serve as a lesson for the Indonesian people and a warning for the government. The recommendation regarding the incident given by Detik.com is for the government and parties yang related to thoroughly investigate the case and punish the perpetrators of racism in accordance with the law applicable.
