In this study, it discusses "The Effect of Effective Communication Within the Family on Assertive Behavior of Students in SMA Negeri 6 Palembang". This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. The research method used is an associative quantitative research method which has two variabels. The data used were 92 samples of active students of SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. The sampling technique uses probability sampling, then for taking respondents using proportionate stratified random sampling, this technique is used because each class X-XII and departme MIPA and IIS majors have different number of students, to get a proportionate or balanced number of respondents who representi each class and department. The results of this study are the effective of effective behavior in SMA Negeri 6 Palembang with the results of the hypothesis (r count) 0,659 > (t table) 0,205. This suggests that the effect of effective communication within the family on assertive behavior in SMA Negeri 6 Palembang is strong.
