This research examines the “Social Patterns of Boarding Students in Simple Alley, Jalan Silaberanti Plaju, Palembang City”. The purpose of this study was to determine the social patterns of boarding students in the simple alleyway of jalan silaberanti plaju. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach, while the number of informants in this study were 10 people who were selected purposively. Data collection techniques are done by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. This research uses social interaction theory (Gillin dan Gillin). The result of the study found that the association of boarding students in a simple hallway was classified as positive, the interaction between students and students, students and the community was good and at a reasonable level, but there were still several boarding houses that offered freedom, causing the image of the students to be slightly different.
