The objectives of this study were (1) to analyze the comparison of income and cultivation of local rice cultivation of gotu kola and superior rice in Talang Aur Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (2) Comparing the marketing between local rice gotu kola and superior rice. in Talang Aur Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (3) Analyzing the factors that influence the farmers' decisions to still plant local rice gotu kola and superior rice in Talang Aur Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. Sampling for local rice farmers gotu kola using the census method, amounting to 15 farmers and using a simple random sampling method for superior rice farmers with a total sample of 45 farmers. The process for the first goal of the first point uses statistical analysis of the two middle value test (t-test) of two independent variables, and for the first objective, the second point uses a Likert scale calculation. For the second objective, by calculating the frequency distribution which is described descriptively. Then for the third objective, getting the decision factors using logistic regression methods or logit models. The results of this study indicate that local pegagan rice farming was more profitable for farmers from an ecomic and cultural perspective. Pegagan local rice has the same prospects as superior rice to be developed in the future, seen from marketing channel, selling price and farmers’ tastes. The factors that encourage farmers to plant local rice gotu kola are farming experience, education level, production, seed prices and income.
