This study was aimed at finding out the influence of the local govemment revenues and unconditional transfer on the Capital expenditure in South Sumatera Province. The data were secondary panel data taken ffom fifleen districts/cities in South Sumatera Province in 2008 - 2012. The Random Effect Model of panel data regressions were used to analyze data. This study showed that there was a positive influence of the local govemment revenues and unconditional transfer on the Capital expenditure implying that an increase in the local govemment revenues would cause an increase in the Capital expenditure. There was a positive relationship between the unconditional transfer and the Capital expenditure in South Sumatera Province. An increase in unconditional transfer would cause an increase in the Capital expenditure.
