The objective of this study was to analyze the role of financial statement analysis in supporting the effectiveness of credit granting at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Telang Unit Office. This study used primary data and secondary data. The data were obtained through financial data documentation and direct interview with the bank management. This study used descriptive method. The data were analyzed by using the ratio. The results indicated that the debtor's financial condition was rated as adequate based on the financial ratio analysis so that credit was granted. The credit collectibility report indicated that the overall credit collectibility was smooth and effective. This shows that financial statement analysis plays an important role in supporting the effectiveness of credit granting.
