This study was aimed at flnding out the influence of local financial performance and Capital expenditure allocation on the economic growth of all districts/cities in South Sumatera Province in 2008 - 2012. the dependent variable was the economic growth. The independent variables were the local financial performance and Capital expenditure allocation. The data were the time series secondary pooled ones taken based on cross section observations. The data were processed using Fixed Effect through E-views 6.0 Program. This study showed that the local financial performance had significant and positive influence on the economic growth by coefficient 0.20 which implied that a 1% increase in local financial performance caused a 0.20% increase in economic growth. The allocation of Capital expenditure also had significant and positive influence on the economic growth by coefficient 0.16 which implied that a 1% increase in Capital expenditure allocation caused a 0.16% increase in economic growth.
