This research was an attempt to identify (1) the influence of fiscal pressure, and (2) public Services that occurred in Ogan Ilir County, as an autonomous region, based on the per capita public Service index. The research results show that the fiscal pressure that Ogan Ilir County experienced in the past five years, that is between 2005 - 2009, fluctuated. This condition was influenced by instability of targeted revenues and their annual realization. Yearly increase in the fiscal pressure indicated growing fiscal needs. The indices of 2005 - 2009 showed annually increased needs that pointed to an average of 12.28. The Iow indices also showed an increase in the population of the county. To control its fiscal pressures and improve its public Services, the County Government of Ogan Ilir is recommended to utilize other sources of revenues and provide proper allocation of expenditures that support economic development improved public Services.
