This research was intended to identify how product differentiation and price strategies were implemented by printing industry in Palembang in 2011. This research used a qualitative, quantitative and descriptive analysis technique. The analyses show that product differentiation caused differentiation in production costs; this was due to cost differences and fixed costs. Although the industry used the same paper, the producers bought paper by different prices, they used different printing equipment, and gave different wages for their workers and each printing house owner had different policies. Price difference was determined by differentiation in quality; such policy was made because of higher production cjdsts. Price difference set up by each printing house was not too big and price strategies were made because each made price discrimination.
