The objectives of this research are I) to understand and assess the cash management at Pegadaian branch in Palembang which has been implemented based on the internal control of this company and 2) to understand the cash management at Pegadaian branch in Palembang whether_ they have been working effectively according to the procedures established by the company. Researcher applied qualitative descriptive to this research. The data that is used in this research are procedures of cash management (cash income and outcome) and the policies about cash at Pegadaian branch in Palembang. The techniques of the data collecting are interviews with the branch manager of Pegadaian branch in Palembang and documentations study. The data that have been collected will be analyzed by using descriptive qualitative methods and will be concluded after that. The result of this research has shown that cash management procedures especially cash income and outcome at Pegadaian branch in Palembang based on their internal control has been running well and the cash management has been running effectively, but there are still weaknesses that need to be repaired. In order to fix those weaknesses, Pegadaian should increase the number of their employees
