AUDIT MANAJEMEN SUMBER DAYA MANUSIA DALAM MENlLAI PRESTASI TENAGA PENJUALAN PADA PT SARA LEE AREA JAKARTA - JAWA BARAT
PT Sara Lee is a company producing and marketing trademark consumer goods with high quality or what the so-called Fast Moving Consumer Good ( FMCG ). Its products deal with body health treatment (soap, powder, lotion) and household treatment (room fragnance, floor cleaner, shoe polish). In this type of company sales person is a very important position to raise benefit therefore their quality and performance achievement needs to be taken care. The performance of the sales persons is measured from their success of achieving the company predetermined targets. It is related to promotion, bonus, and training program for employees. Therefore, there should be a Human Resource management to accurately assess performance achievement with appropriate method so that the top management can make accurate decision. This study focuses on Management Audit of Human Resource in Assessing the Achievement of Sales Force of PT Sara Lee of Jakarta Area - West Java. The human resource management audit of PT Sara Lee aims to know the accuracy of Human Resource management in assessing the achievement of sales force performance so that the company’s vision, mission, and strategy can be reached. In this study quantitative and qualitative data were used. The qualitative data are in the form of sentences or description on the issue such as the company’s policy, particularly the ones referring to the topic of the study. The quantitative data are used to support the analysis. They refer to the data of human resource and assessment of human resource performance. This study aims to find out (1) the effectiveness of the activity performed by the human resource function of PT Sara Lee in assessing the performance of the sales person, and (2) the performance of the human resource function of PT Sara Lee in assessing the performance of the sales person. The results show that the assessment of the performance of the sales persons is not effective and not good enough; though there are several weaknesses such as no career level criteria for the sales force, no complete information for the assessment of the performance, no reward program for the sales persons who perform well, no transparent incentive calculation for the sales persons, and bonus given evenly without considering the achieved performance.
