This research is aimed to know and analyze the faetors that influence foreign direct investmenl in Indonesia. The data used in this research were both secondary and primary ones within the years of 1988-2011. To analyze the data, Ordinary Least Square (OLS) was used. The estimated result was known that the variable of real interest rates had negative correlation and insignificantly affected the foreign direct investment (FDI), the gross domestic produet (GDP) had positive correlation and significantly affected the foreign direct investment, and economic erisis had negative correlation and significantly affected the foreign direct investment in Indonesia. Further research is expected to add observation time and additional variables (tax, export, import, infiation) for the purpose of understanding foreign direct investment in Indonesia more deeply.
