This study analyzed the factors that influenced deposit rates in two small economies with perfect mobility. Variables of macro economy selected to be the one that could influence deposit rates ar internal and extemal factors. Two internal factors that give quite significant effect to the deposit rate are loan disbursement and money supply. However, extemal factor that gives significant factor to deposit rates is LIBOR interest rate. Both models in this study used analysis technique of multiple linear regression using independent variables of loan disbursement, LIBOR interest rate, and money supply M2 to the dependent variables of three month-deposit. The result of the study showed that there was significant correlation between independent variables and dependent one in both models. However, both models had different responsibility to the factors that influenced deposit rates. In Hongkong, extemal factors gave very strong effect to the deposit rate. In Singapore, on the other hand, the ones that gave very strong effect to the deposit rate were internal factors.
