This research was intended to identify the performance of telecommunication equipment Industries in Indonesia in the period of 1998 and 2007 in terms of their (1) workforce productivity, (2) value addedness, and (3) efficiency level. The research results show that the performance of the industries seemed to experience unreal development. Such development was marked by (I) increased workforce deplopment, (2) less value addedness, and (3) better efficiency level. Increased workforce deployment was done by less numbcr of workers than decreased output. The efficiency level was achieved by less production costs than decreased value addedness. The telecommunication equipment companies are recommended to improve their human resources in order to increase their productivity, value addedness and efficiency.
