This study was aimed at analyzing the market retribution revenues at some markets in Palembang. Primary and secondary data were used in this study. The former was taken from some markets in Palembang in the form of tariff data subjected to the kiosk, stall, and plataran (unoccupied spaces at market usually used for various business purposes). The later was taken from the data of market retribution revenues, data of revenues and operational cost management, and data of the number of kiosk, stalls, and plataran. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used to analyze the market retribution revenues in terms of its effectiveness, efficiency, potentiality. This study showed that there were great potential revenues at some markets in Palembang. Nevertheless, the retribution revenues were not maximally received because there were many kiosk, stalls, and plataran which were not rent and there were also many merchants who did not permanently rent the kiosk, stalls, and plataran so that the actual retribution revenues were not in accordance with the existing potential in some markets. The Wi!coxon Signed Ranks Test showed there was a significant difference between the potential retribution revenues and actual retribution revenues in some markets in Palembang. It was because there were many kiosk, stalls, and plataran which were not rent so that the actual revenues were iower than the potential ones.
