This thesis entitled the effect of construction sector of PMDN investment to economic development of Palembang in 1995- 2004. Based on the background which is explained before, then the analyzed problem is how large the effect of PMDN investment on construction sector to the economic development and the factors which affect the PMDN investment to the construction sector. The theory which is used in this thesis is theory of investment, theory of relation between investment and economic growth development and theory of economic development according to Harrold Domar. The discussion of the thesis is ti know whether or not the PMDN investment of construction sector affect significantly to the economic growth development in Palembang in 1995 - 2004. Based on the calculation result it is obtained the t- count value is 3,263 while t-table 2,179. the consequence, is t-count > t- table, then t count is in the Ho not acception area of significant level a = 5 persen. This means that PMDN investment of construction sector is affect significantly to the economic growth construction sector of Palembang.
