This research aims to know and analyze how large the influence of financial leverage that is represented by the variable of Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Debt to Total Asset (DTA) simultaneously and partially to Return On Asset (ROA) in the subsector business pulp & paper at the Indonesia Stock Exchange during period 2005-2009. The sample which is used in this research are four (4) listing sub-sector business pulp & paper continuously at the Indonesia Stock Exchange during period 2005-2009. In this research uses descriptive test and statistical test. The statistical test contents the normality test, the assumption of classic test, the double of regression test, and the hypothetical test that partially (t Test) and simultaneously (F Test). The result of the research shows that partially test and simultaneous test of the variable DER and DTA have not significant influence to ROA in the sub-sector business pulp & paper at the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
