The main object of this research is to analyze the causality relationship between inflation and velocity of money for period of 1992-2007. The data used in this study are secondary data. This research is using quantitative and qualitative technic analyze, whereas quantitative analysied by using simple regression and Granger Causality method. Based on result, this research is only has uni-directional causality, that only inflation that affect the velocity of money. While the velocity of money is not significantly affect the inflation on research period. The variable inflation that affect the velocity of money have negative relations is caused because when inflation happens, the community prefer to save their money in bank. The variable velocity of money is not affect significantly to inflation because there are other factors that more influenced, as the amount of money circulated, the exchange rate, and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
