Plywood industry is one of the induslries that has a good prospect. Indonesia has become one of the plywood well-known producing countries in the world with high competitiveness. The Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) is above 1. However, in recent years, this industry has decreased both in number of companies and production. This study was aimed at finding out the influence of competitiveness and technology on the value-added in Indonesian plywood industry. Secondary data namely the number of production, the value of plywood exports, the value of total exports, the value added, the intermediate costs from the year 1989 to 2010. The theories basing this study were the theory of competitiveness and technology, the theory of value-added, and the theory of International trades. It was found that there was a significant difference between the competitiveness and technology to the value-added. The value-added was influenced by the competitiveness and technology by 65.44 percent. The rest (34.56 percent) was influenced by other factors.
