ANALISIS PENGARUH STRATEGI PRODUK DAN STRATEGI HARGA TERHADAP PENJUALAN PADA USAHA BENGKEL LAS DI KOTA PALEMBANG
This research was intended to analyze and identify the influnce of product and price strategies on sales at welding workshops in Palembang. The data were collected through a purposive sampling technique. The worshops employed difFerentiation and diversification for their product strategies and different degrees for prices. The product difFerentiation resulted in the same number because all the workshops had the same catalogs. Production was made based on customers’ order. The diversification was made in the form of laticework, fences, balcony fences, rolling fences, canopy, stairs, iron beds, towers, children toys, and rolling doors. This research focused on the one-month sales of the 30 sampled workshops. The data were analyzed in a quantitative and qualitative manner. The research results show that the product difFerentiation did not have any influence on sales and neither did the prices. On the other hand, the product diversification has a significant influence on the sales. Based on the F test, the t obtained was 18.867 which was larger than the F table.
