This research was an attempt to identify the performance of tempe industries in Baturaja in terms of these variables: (1) value addedness, (2) efficiency, and (3) worker productivity. The research results shovv that the performance of tempe industries was. Value addedness increased an amount of Rp 249.025,00 by average. Efficiency level pointed to 0.46 meaning this level was low; every production cost of Rp 1,00 maae an tncrease or O.'to. In other words, the tempe industries has not reached an optimum level. Worker productivity pointed to 51.43 meaning that every worker produced 51.43 units. Every tempe industry in Baturaja is recommended to implement various strategies to improve their performance in terms of value addedness, efficiency level, and worker productivity.
