POLA PENGGUNAAN ASPIRIN PADA PASIEN PENYAKIT JANTUNG KORONER DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE 1 JUNI 2019- 31 MEI 2020
Introduction: Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a disease caused by blockage of coronary artery. Generally, aspirin was used to be as chemopreventive medicine for CHD. Improper aspirin administration can cause adverse side effects to the patient. This study aims to know the pattern of aspirin use in patients with CHD. Methods: This study was a descriptive study using medical record of patients with CHD at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang from 1 June 2019 – 31 Mei 2020. There were 109 medical record data that met the inclusion criteria. Results: Prevalence of aspirin use was 67 % with the highest was in men (50.5 %), age group of 41-60 years (35.8 %) , and history of hypertension (33.9 %). The highest pattern of aspirin use was at a dose of 80 mg/day (97.3 ), frequency once a day (100 %), and duration of 1 week (97.3 %). The highest characteristic of CHD patients was in men (74.3 %), age group of 41 – 60 years (54.1 %), and housewife (22 %). The highest interaction with aspirin was potential interaction (48.7 %). Conclusion: The prevalence of aspirin use was high in CHD patients with the highest pattern of its administration was at a low dose which given in a single dose.
