PENGARUH IMPOR, INFLASI, DAN UTANG LUAR NEGERI TERHADAP NILAI TUKAR DOLAR DI INDONESIA
Maintaining stability of the rupiah exchange rate is one of the objectives of Indonesian monetary policy. The stability of rupiah exchange rate can affect economic aspects, including economic growth, internastional trade, people’s purchasing power, poverty, and unemployment. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the factors influence dollar exchange rate in Indonesia. The variables used in this study are import, inflation, foreign debt, and dollar exchange rate in Indonesia. The data used were secondary data obtained from World Bank and Central Buresu of Statistic (BPS) from 1989 until 2018. The method used in this study was General Least Square. The result of the study showed that import, inflation, and foreign debt together had a significant effect of on the dollar exchange rate. Import and foreign debt did not significantly influence partially while inflation influenced significantly on the dollar exchange rate in Indonesia. Import, inflation, and foreign debt had a positive effect on the dollar exchange rate in Indonesia.
