KARAKTERISTIK DERMATOGLIFI PADA PENDERITA DISABILITAS INTELEKTUAL DI SEKOLAH LUAR BIASA KARYA IBU PALEMBANG
Abnormality in intellectual disability can be seen in the dermatoglyphic of children with an intellectual disability occurs because the fingerprint patterns are formed simultaneously as when the neocortex is developed. Therefore, this study is hoped to be an alternative for screening children with intellectual disabilities. This study used the descriptive observational study with the cross-sectional approach. The finger and palm print patterns as the primary data used in this study were obtained directly from the sample that met the inclusion criteria from Karya Ibu Special School Palembang. The results obtained for the demographic age characteristic of the 93 samples that met the inclusion criteria were: the most students with intellectual disability were children (44.1%), and the largest gender was male (59.1%). The most common data on the distribution of intellectual disability disease was Down syndrome (36.6%). Down syndrome and ASD students have the most ulnar loop fingerprint patterns, while ADHD has the same value for ulnar loop and whorl, and there are also whorl, radial loop, and arch patterns. The angle of ATD found in intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, ASD, and ADHD was at most: 35o-50o.
