Background : Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a disease with hyperglycemic which resulted by the combination of insulin resistance and relative insulin deficiency (inadequate insulin compensation). Indonesia has been on 4th rank of top ten country with highest diabetes frequency after India, China, and USA in 2020 and 2030. There are four pillars in treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2, they are patient education, nutrition therapy, physical activity, and pharmacology therapy. Physical activity improved glucose intake to muscle. This research conducted to find out the association of physical activity and blood glucose level of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 in Besemah Hospital, Pagaralam City. Method : This research is an analytical survey with cross sectional study design. The univariate data processed with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) type 25 program. While the bivariate data analyzed with One Way Anova Test. Result: This research has 66 samples of patient with diabetes mellitus who registered in Besemah Hospital, Pagaralam City. There are 42 patients with low intensity physical activity level, 8 patients with moderate intensity physical activity level, and 16 patients with high intensity physical activity level. The mean of blood glucose level of patients with low intensity physical activity level is 308,17 mg/dL, 164 mg/dL for patients with moderate intensity physical activity, and 121,44 mg/dL for patients with high intensity physical activity. The significance value is 0,000 for physical activity and blood glucose level. It means the physical activity can decrease the blood glucose level. The data of this research analysed with One Way Anova (parametric test), it shown that the physical activity related to blood glucose level of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 in Besemah Hospital significantly, p = 0,000 and the data analyzed with Post Hoc Test (Games-Howell) too. Conclusion : There is a significant association of physical activity and blood glucose level of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 in Besemah Hospital, Pagaralam City.
