PENGARUH MUROTTAL AL-QUR’AN TERHADAP ANSIETAS PADA MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN DOKTER UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA ANGKATAN 2017
Background: Anxiety is a feeling of discomfort, worry about something that is not clear and often accompanied by autonomic symptoms. Murottal Al-Qur’an therapy is a form of complementary anxiety therapy with the most widely used Al-Qur'an media. This study aims to analyze the effect of murottal Al-Qur'an on anxiety in medical student of Universitas Sriwijaya batch 2017. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental cross-sectional approach with one group pre-post test design which was carried out from July to December 2020 at homes through Zoom meeting application. Primary data were collected using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) questionnaire before and after receiving the Murottal Al-Qur'an intervention for 7 consecutive days at 22.00. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test was performed on the data, then analyzed with Paired t-test or Wilcoxon test using the SPSS device. Results: There were 45 subjects of this study. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant result of murottal Al-Qur'an on anxiety (p = 0.000) in medical students of Universitas Sriwijaya. Conclusion: There is an effect of murottal Al-Qur’an on anxiety in medical student of Universitas Sriwijaya batch 2017. Keywords: Anxiety, Murottal Al-Qur’an, BAI, Medical student
