Background. Burnout burnout by the person and mental and physical wellment that is related to work or nursing care activities. Burnout in students, for example, is emotional pain that occurs because of a crisis for learning and there is a feeling of being a student who is less capable and competent in their field. Objectives. Identifying the difference in the proportion of burnout between students of the Medical Education Study Program (pre-clinic) and students of the Medical Professional Study Program (clinic), Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University. Methods. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design. The research data was taken from online questionnaire data with a sample of 300 people. Results. The majority of respondents were female, namely 193 (64.3%) students, while male respondents were 107 (35.7%) students. Most female students were in class 2016 as many as 60 (20%), while male students were mostly in class 2018 as many as 18 (6%). It can be seen that there is no significant difference in each of the burnout dimensions between the Student of the Medical Education Study Program and the Student of the Medical Professional Study Program, with a value of p = 0.062 (p> 0.05) for the emotional exhaustion dimension, p value = 0.260 (p > 0.05) for the depersonalization dimension, the p value = 0.653 (p> 0.05) for the lack of personal accomplisment dimension. Conclusions. There is no significant difference in each of the burnout dimensions between the Medical Education Student Program and the Doctor's Professional Study Program Student.
