ANALISIS KESALAHAN SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATEMATIKA TIPE PISA DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA (SMP)
This study aims to determine the form of students’ mistakes and the factors that cause students to make mistakes in solving PISA type math problems. This research was conducted at a junior high school in Bangka Belitung province involving 26 students This research is descriptive research. The error analysis was carried out based on the Newman analysis. Analysis is based on Newman error analysis. The PISA math test questions that were tested consisted of content change and relationship, space and shape, quantity, and uncertain and data. The results showed that reading errors were 40.21%, comprehension errors were 41.86%, transformation errors were 87.29%, processing skills errors were 90.26% and encoding errors were 88.46%. In general, the mistakes were caused by students who could not relate PISA questions to the material they were used to studying and students are not used to doing questions in a real context.
