This research entitled “Perkembangan Pendidikan di Kabupaten Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Tahun 2013-2018 (Sumbangan Materi Mata Kuliah Sejarah Pendidikan )”.. The problems in this study were how the state of education in Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency 2013-2018 and how indicators of education development in the Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir district in 2013-2018. The purpose of this research was to explain the state of education in Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency 2013-2018 and how indicators of education development in the Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir district in 2013-2018. This research was used historical methods, namely Heuristics, Source Criticism, Interpretation and Histiography. In this study, Were used the Geography and Sociology approach. The result of this study indicate that the development of education that occurc in Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir was continued to increase every year. It was evident from 5 Districts in Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency, namely Talang Ubi Districts, Tanah Abang Districts, Abab Districts. Penukal Districts and North Penukal Districts which continue to carry out school construction starting from early childhood, elementary, junior high school/vocational school levels. Some o the schools that have become excellent schools that have become excellent schools include SMA N 2 Unggulan Talang Ubi, SMP N 1 Tanah Abang, SD N 3 Abab and SMK N 1 Penukal.
