Background. A head injury is trauma caused by a direct or indirect physical impact on the head and is blunt or sharp. Head trauma can cause neurological dysfunction which can be temporary / temporary or permanent / permanent. Head injuries occurred mostly due to land transportation accidents (47.7%), falls (40.9%), blunt and sharp object collisions (7.3%), and falling objects (2.5%). Head injuries based on GCS were divided into mild (GCS = 13-15), moderate (GCS = 9-12), and severe (GCS ≤ 8). The purpose of this study was to describe the prevalence of outcomes in moderate-severe head injury treated conservatively at dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang on 1 January – 31 December 2019 Metode. This research is a descriptive observational study using a cross sectional research design. This research was conducted from September 2019 to January 2021. The data were obtained from the medical records of head injury patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang on 1 January - 31 December 2019. The data were then analyzed univariately using the SPSS application. Result. Based on gender, the life outcome was highest in patients with male sex as much as 7.27% in severe head injuries and 60% in moderate head injuries. Based on age, the life outcome was highest in patients with adolescent age category as many as 30.9 in moderate head injuries and 5.45% in severe head injuries. Based on head CT scan abnormalities, the survival outcome was highest in patients with CT scan abnormalities as much as 5.45% in severe head injuries and 60% in moderate head injuries. Conclusion. The prevalence of the outcome of living patients was 83.6% and the prevalence of the outcome of patients who died was 16.4%
