UJI FITOKIMIA EKSTRAK KULIT IKAN PATIN (PANGASIUS SP.)
Catfish is a freshwater fish that is often found in South Sumatra. In the fillet industry, skin is one of the waste processing fisheries products and is considered to have no economic value and can be detrimental. This waste is usually not used and disposed of. This study aims to determine the results of the phytochemical analysis of catfish (Pangasius sp.) The skin extract using solvents with different polarity. The method used in this study is a descriptive study using extracts of catfish (Pangasius sp.) skin. The extraction was carried out using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol solvents using the maceration process and aquades solvent using infusion process. Phytochemical test results showed that the n-hexane extract contained alkaloids and steroids. Ethyl acetate extract contained alkaloids. Ethanol extract contained alkaloids, saponins and steroids. Aquades extract contained alkaloids, saponins, tannins and steroids. Thus, it can be concluded that catfish skin containts secondary metabolites namely, alkaloids, steroids, saponins and tannins.
