The nutritional content of catfish meat contain many benefits for human body. Catfish meat contain secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, terpenoids and steroids which were beneficial for health, especially in the field of dentistry. Methods: This study was a descriptive study using extracts of catfish meat (Pangasius sp). The sample in the form of fish meat was extracted by maceration method using ethanol, ethyl acetate and n-hexane solvent and by infusion method using aquadest. The solvent of each filtrate would be evaporated so that a concentrated extract could be obtained, and then a phytochemical test was carried out. Results: In the n-hexane extract saponins and terpenoids were detected. In ethyl acetate extract, flavonoids and steroids were detected. In ethanol extract, alkaloid compounds were detected, flavonoids and saponins, and in distilled water extracts flavonoids and saponins were detected. Conclusion: Catfish (Pangasius Sp.) Meat contained secondary metabolites such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, terpenoids, and steroids. Key words: catfish, secondary metabolites, phytochemical test
