Studi aplikasi metode simplek dalam optimasi Coal Blending untuk pemenuhan persyaratan spesifikasi Batubara PLTU BA di PT Manambang Muara Enim
PT. Manambang Muara Enim is one of the coal mining company in Indonesia. Bukit Asam Steam Power Plant (PLTU BA) is the largest consumer of coal from PT. Manambang Muara Enim. Based on geological data of the company, each seams had different coal quality. Seam C has low total sulfur and high calorific value, while seam A and seam D5 has high total sulfur and low calorific value. The actual conditions of coal which has diverse quality and in order to utilize coal reserves optimally along to fulfill consumer coal demand with required specifications as established by BA Power Plant, who requested coal with total sulfur (TS) ≤ 0.35%, ash content (AC) ≤ 6% and calorific value (CV) ≥ 4600 kCal / kg. One of the ways that can be applied to achieve this requirement is by doing coal blending process with counting every coal proportion from each seam using POM QM software application for Windows. After calculation proportion for 100.000 tons of coal, it is obtained that the coal blending ratio for combination I (seam C and seam A) was 70.4% : 29.6% (TS: 0.34%, AC: 1.41%, CV: 5152 kCal / kg), combination II (seam C and seam A) was 63.6% : 36.4% (TS: 0.34%, AC: 1.71%, CV: 4902 kcal / kg), and combination III (seam C with seam A and seam D5) which has the same value as combination II. Recapitulation results for coal blending schedules that will be blended from September to December 2015 is the coal blending combination I (seam C and seam A) that will be conducted in September 2015 with a ratio proportion of coal as 70.4% and 29.6%. As for the October 2015, coal will be blended with two combination, which is combination I and combination II with the same proportions and continued with coal blending combination II (seam C and seam D5) that conducted in November and December 2015 with ratio proportion of coal as 63.6% and 36.4%.
