The variety of contraceptions available causes many pregnant women to experience difficulties in determining which type of contraception to choose. Intra Uterine Device (IUD) is one of the Long-Term Contraception Methods (MKJP) whose use is still low compared to other types of contraception. One of the factors causing this is the pregrant women’s level of knowledge about the IUD. The purpose of this study is knowing the description of the level of knowledge of pregnant women about IUD contraception at the Al-Syifa Clinic in Palembang. The research used was a descriptive observational study with a cross sectional approach describing the level of knowledge of pregnant women about IUD contraception at the Al-Syifa Clinic in Palembang. Data were processed using SPSS 23.0. Research on the description of the level of knowledge of pregnant women about IUD contraception has been carried out at the Al-Syifa clinic in Palembang from October to December 2020. The results of this study were obtained from primary data in the form of questionnaires that had been filled in by pregnant women who visited the Al-Syifa clinic in the month of September to October 2020. There were 107 pregnant women who met the research criteria. From 107 pregnant women who visited the Al-Syifa clinic in Palembang, it was found that most of the level of knowledge of pregnant women was still lacking, namely as many as 43 people (40.2%).
