PROFIL PENDERITA GANGGUAN GERAK DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Movement disorders affect involutary movements. These disorders are differentiated into hypokinetic, such as parkinsonism, and hyperkinetic movement, such as tremor, chorea, dystonia, myoclonus, tic, and ataxia. The aim of this study was to identified the profile of patients with movement disorders in Dr.Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. This research is a cross sectional descriptive study from medical records. Age group with the most occurrence of movement disorders is in late-adult group (53,6%) with male mostly affected (56,5%). Patient who lives in Palembang has higher percentage of movement disorders than the one who lives outside of Palembang (55,8%). There are 79,8% patients who have comorbidities especially neurological disorders, Patient with movement disorders mostly has history of consuming neuropsychiatric drugs. Onset of patients with these disorders found in 68,8% patients. The symptoms of movement disorders that the patient mostly complained is parkinsonism (76,5%). The study shows age, sex, place of living, and onset patterns of patient with movement disorders. Furthermore, comorbidities and history of drugs consumption are found with these disorders.
