UJI INHIBISI EKSTRAK ETANOL 50% DAUN BENALU KERSEN (Dendrophthoe pentandra L. Miq) TERHADAP ENZIM α-GLUKOSIDASE
Dendrophthoe pentandra L. Miq is a parasite plant that has potency as an antidiabetic. The aim of this study is to test the ability of α-glucosidase inhibition in 50% ethanol extract of Jamaican cherry mistletoe leaves. This study was an experimental study by conducting a test of α-Glucosidase inhibitory test on Jamaican cherry mistletoe leaves. Extraction was done by maceration using 50% ethanol solvent, then the extract is tested its α-glucosidase inhibitory effect using spectrophotometer at 400 nm wavelength. From the spectrophotometry test is acquired the absorbance values, then calculated the % inhibition and IC50 is analysed using the linear regression test. 50% ethanol extract of Jamaican cherry (Dendrophthoe pentandra, L. Miq) mistletoe leaves contain alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, terpenoid, and saponin. This extract has IC50 value of 8,1625 ppm. The IC50 value is classified as very strong inhibitor.
