TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU HAMIL TENTANG PREEKLAMPSIA DI KLINIK AL-SYIFA KOTA PALEMBANG
Background: Preeclampsia occurs in 5–7% of all pregnancies and being the cause of 70,000 maternal deaths and 500,000 fetal deaths annually worldwide. Preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of maternal mortality in Indonesia. In addition to threatening the life of the mother and having a bad impact on the fetus, preeclampsia can also cause problems after delivery. Knowledge is an important component in health behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to do further analysis regarding the level of knowledge of pregnant women about preeclampsia. Method: This research is a descriptive study. The data taken is primary data obtained from questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Data collection was carried out by consecutive sampling technique and the number of samples was 130 research samples. Result: The level of knowledge among pregnant women about preeclampsia in this study was 79 respondents (60.8%) with adequate knowledge, 48 respondents (36.9%) with moderate knowledge, and 3 respondents (2.3%) with inadequate knowledge. Conclusion: Most of the respondents in this study have a good knowledge about preeclampsia. In addition, most respondents in this study also have a good knowledge about the symptom, risk factor, prevention, treatment and complication of preeclampsia.
