HUBUNGAN RESPONSE TIME KRANIOTOMI PADA PASIEN SUBDURAL HEMATOMA DENGAN OUTCOME DI RSMH
Background: Subdural hematoma (SDH) is a collection of extra cerebral blood which can be in the form of clots or in the form of fluid and is located between the dura mater and arachnoid mater, and does not spread to the subarachnoid area. SDH is a type of head injury with the highest mortality rate at 13.7%. In handling SDH, one of the factor that plays a role in determining outcome in patients is response time or the golden period theory which states that definitive therapy must be initiated less than 4 hours after the incident to get better results. Cranitomy is the most widely performed operative procedure for treating serious brain injuries including SDH. Thus, this study was made to determine whether there is a correlation between the response time of craniotomy in SDH patients with the outcome. Methods: This study used a cross sectional design based on secondary data from medical records at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang (RSMH) in 2017-2019. The sample in this study were all patients diagnosed with SDH and had undergone a craniotomy and the total sample was 35 people (n = 35). The data required in the form of research variables obtained from the patient's medical record. After the data has been retrieved, the data is processed using data processing software. Results: In the results, the relationship between response time and outcome of SDH patients who had undergone craniotomy at RSMH in 2017-2019 p value was 0.002 (p = 0.002), this result shows a significant correlation between craniotomy response time with outcome in SDH patients undergoing craniotomy (p
