Background: Menarche is the first menstruation experienced by a female adolescent. Over time, there is a change in the age at menarche where at this time menarche occurs earlier than usual. There are several factors that can affect the age of menarche, one of which is the body mass index (BMI). This study was conducted to determine the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and age at menarche on female students in Junior High School 6 Sekayu. Method: This is an analytic study with cross sectional study design to determine the correlation between body mass index (BMI) and age at menarche on female students in Junior High School 6 Sekayu. The research data were obtained through interviews by filling out a questionnaire via google form. The research sample was taken by total sampling technique and obtained 182 students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Result: From 182 students, it was found that 102 students (56%) were in the normal group BMI, 60 students (33%) were in the thin group, and 20 (11%) were in the obese group.
