ANALISIS FAKTOR RISIKO NYERI PUNGGUNG BAWAH PADA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN DOKTER FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Background. Low back pain is one of the prevalent complaints among all age groups. Most cases of LBP are caused by individual and occupational factors. There are many risk factors for low back pain, but not all risk factors show the same effect in different populations. This research was conducted to see the effect of body mass index, study period, prolonged sitting, sitting posture, and physical activity on low back pain among medical students, Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University. Methode. In this study, a cross-sectional observational analytic design was applied. Sample selected by using the stratified random sampling technique with a total of 128 sample. Data was collected using a self administered quesionnaire (google form). The data obtained then analyzed using bivariate. Result. The prevalence of LBP amongst medical students was 64.8%. Through bivariate analysis, found that age (p= 0.041), study period (p= 0.039), sitting posture (p= 0.000), and physical activity (p= 0.000) had a significant relation with LBP Conclusion. Risk factors that affect the incidence low back pain amongst medical students of Faculty of Medicine Sriwjaya University are age, study period, sitting posture, and physical activity Keywords.
