KONTROL DIRI DENGAN PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK PADA MAHASISWA YANG MENGERJAKAN SKRIPSI DI MASA PANDEMI
This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and academic procrastination among students who worked on thesis during the pandemic. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a relationship between sel-control and academic procrastination. Participants in this study were 150 students working on theses at X University class of 2016 and 2017. The sampling technique used was the quota sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is the academic procrastination scale which refers to the aspects of Tuckman (1990) and the self-control scale which refers to the type of Averill (1973). Analysis of research data using the Pearson’s Product Moment correlation method using the SPSS 16.00 program. The result showed that there was a relationship between self-control and academic procrastination among students who worked on thesis at X University students class 2016 and 2017 with a value of r = -0,312 and p = 0,000 (p>0,05). This shows that self-control has a negative and significant relationship between academic procrastination. Thus the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted.
