Background: Glaucoma is a group of optic neuropathycharacterized by damage of optic nerve followed by visual field defect with or without increased intraocular pressure.One of the risk factors that influence the progression of glaucoma is intraocular pressure. This research aimed to know the correlation between intraocular pressure with visual field defect in primary open angle glaucoma patients. Methods: This type of research was observational analytic with cross sectional design and the samples were collected from medical record data of primary open angle glaucoma, then the data were analyzed by using Chi-Square test to determine the correlation between the variables. Results: The results of this study were obtained mild degree of primary open angle glaucoma (74,1%), normal intraocular pressure, mild degree of visual field defect (51,7%) and there no correlation between intraocular pressure with visual field defect in primary open angle glaucoma patients p=0,084 (p>α). Conclusion: There no correlation between intraocular pressure with visual field defect in primary open angle glaucoma.
