PERAN KADAR LIMFOSIT DALAM MEMPREDIKSI KEMATIAN PASIEN COVID-19
At the end of 2019, a case report of a collection of unknown pneumonia patients was found which was later identified as a new respiratory infection, namely the corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The results of the patient's laboratory examination are strongly associated with the progression of disease progression in COVID-19 patients. One of the most prominent laboratory findings in COVID-19 patients is the presentation of lymphopenia. This situation is often associated with the worsening of clinical symptoms and an increased risk of complications and death in COVID-19 patients. This study aims to determine the role of lymphocyte levels in predicting the mortality of COVID-19 patients. This study was an analytic observational study with a cross sectional design. Retrieval of research data using total sampling method. The research data is medical record data and laboratory examinations of 120 COVID-19 patients at RSMH in the period 1 March - 30 June. Data were obtained in the form of routine blood tests and patient outcomes. The data obtained were then processed using the ROC Curve analysis and then the cut-off data were processed using bivariate chi square analysis. Obtained from 120 patients 19 died and 101 alive. While the cut-off data was obtained at ≤1656.2. From the results of the bivariate analysis, it was found that the relationship between lymphocyte cut-off levels and patient mortality was evidenced by p value = 0.0001. The state of lymphopenia also increases the risk of death up to 6.97 times. The results showed that there was a role for lymphocyte levels in predicting the death of COVID-19 patients. Lymphocyte levels play a role in predicting death in COVID-19 patients as evidenced by a significant relationship. Keywords: Lymphopenia; COVID-19; Survival Analysis; Mortality.
